Chen talks team culture, stepping up as a leader | Podcast

 Girls basketball captain reminisces on her senior season, career milestones and the legacy she hopes to leave

In the fifth episode of Friday Knight Lights, hosts Julia Copas and Callen Romell  talked with senior point guard Emy Chen to talk about her transition to McCallum in her sophomore year, becoming a leader on the team and her future basketball career.

This season, the three-year varsity member is averaged 15.4 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.9 steals per game. On Dec. 2 against Georgetown, Chen scored her 1,000th career point, and has scored over 200 since. After moving here from California after her freshman year, she quickly made her mark on the team. This year, Chen is a nominee for the McDonald’s All American Game. Next year, she hopes to play collegiate basketball.
