In the sixth episode of Friday Knight Lights, hosts Julia Copas and Callen Romell talk with seniors George Brode and Felix Kahlor about the unique culture of the basketball team, being voted best bromance, and their growth as both players and people.
Both Brode and Kahlor have been on varsity for three years, and have watched the team dynamic develop, now taking on leadership roles as seniors. The Knights were back-to-back district champions this year, and defeated the Pflugerville Panthers 72-66 on Tuesday, winning bi-district playoffs for the first time since 2021. Tonight at 7 p.m. in Brenham they take on the Fort Bend Marshall Buffaloes in round two of playoffs. The Buffaloes are ranked 62nd in the nation and fourth in Texas 5A.
