The third quarter ended with the Knights down 56-50 to the Panthers. The quarter started with a Liberty Hill touchdown, then the Knights had a 70-yard touchdown by Sanchez but didn’t get the 2-point conversion. After another Panthers touchdown, Butler had a touchdown reception to end the quarter.
The first half ended with the Knights trailing the Panthers 42-38. The quarter started with a 43-yard field goal by senior kicker Gus Ehlers. After a touchdown by Liberty Hill, McCallum was unable to convert but forced a Panthers fumble recovered by junior defensive lineman Nash Wegner. Then senior wide receiver Jaiden Booe had a touchdown but the Knights’ 2-point conversion was no good. Liberty Hill had another two touchdowns and then Dunham had a 58-yard touchdown. To end the quarter, Sanchez had a 36-yard reception and then a touchdown rush with a successful two-point conversion.
FIRST QUARTER FIREWORKS: The Knights end the first quarter down 21-14 to the Liberty Hill Panthers. McCallum started with a long reception and run by junior tight end Alex Hopper to get into the redzone. Senior running back Mitchell Butler then rushed for a Knights touchdown. After a touchdown by the Panthers, senior quarterback Luke Dunham threw a 52-yard pass to senior wide receiver Mark Sanchez and then Dunham had a 33-yard touchdown run. Liberty Hill then scored on their next two drives to get their first lead of the night to end the quarter.
The first half ended with the Knights down 28-0 to the Panthers. To start the second quarter, Pflugerville scored on its first three possessions while the Knights remained scoreless.
The Knights trail 7-0 at the end of the first quarter to the Pflugerville Panthers. The Panthers won the toss and scored on their first possession. After a sack by sophomore defensive lineman Tyson Thompson, soon after there was a fumble by Pflugerville recovered by sophomore defensive lineman Hugo Smith. At the end of the quarter the Knights fumbled, recovered by the Panthers.
